John 13:34b - Honor your Lord! He is your Love, your Life, your All!
This coming Sunday, May 12th, is Mothers’ Day and the fourth Sunday in the Easter season. At Lord & Savior Ev. Lutheran Church in Crystal Lake, Pastor David Carlovsky will preach on a single instruction, delivered by Jesus to his disciples the night before he was crucified: "As I have loved you, so you must love one another" (John 13:34b). Pastor Carlovsky will provide thoughts on what the Lord has done for mothers, fathers, sons and daughters; and the honor due to him.
The sermon theme will be “Honor your Lord! He’s your love, your life, your all!”
Revelation 2:10b - Be Faithful
The following Sunday, May 19th, the congregation will confirm five young people: Eric Bower, Grace Dowd, Madeline Gutzmer, Maria Loiseau, and Joseph Ray. Each of them will be reading a self-written Testament of Faith in the service about what their Confirmation means to them, and Pastor Carlovsky reference their Confirmation verses in his sermon. The sermon will be based on Revelation 2:10b: "Be faithful unto death," as we will ponder how our Lord is perfectly faithful to us and how he commands us to be faithful in return.
The sermon theme will simply be: "BE FAITHFUL!"
