John 2:1-11 - Jesus Revealed His Glory!
This coming Sunday, January 20th, continues the season of Epiphany, with the story of Jesus’ first recorded miracle as found in John 2:1-11. Changing water into wine at the wedding in Cana “revealed his glory.” It is interesting that He revealed His glory in an ordinary town, to an ordinary couple, in the midst of an ordinary celebration. In such subtle, simply, ordinary ways He reveals Himself as our almighty God! Pastor David Carlovsky’s sermon theme will echo this idea: "JESUS REVEALED HIS GLORY!”
I. He's our Friend!
II. He's our Provider!
III. He's our Savior!
John 1:29-41 - Look, the Lamb of God!
Lord and Savior’s elementary and preschool children (PreK-8) will be singing "I Am Jesus' Little Lamb" the following Sunday, January 27th. Pastor Carlovsky’s sermon will try to imagine growing up in a faithful Israelite family. They would be familiar with all the times that lambs were sacrificed. We, too, have become familiar with Jesus as our Lamb, whose sacrifice was substitutionary, sacrificial and special. Because He came to be the Lamb, we can say of ourselves too: "I am Jesus' little lamb.” The sermon theme will be based directly on the sermon text (John 1:29-41): “Look, the Lamb of God!”
