About Us

We are Lord & Savior Evangelical Lutheran Church, located in Crystal Lake, IL.
Lord & Savior is a smaller congregation with an intimate, family atmosphere. With faith life in mind, fellowship among each other is a blessing that cannot be replaced. We extend our warmest greetings to those who worship with us. If you are a first-time visitor, we pray that your visit will be blessed.
We are located at the intersection of Route 14 and Ridgefield Road, just north of McHenry County College.
Our church is a member of WELS, the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod.

We believe in the Trinity (three persons in one God - God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit) through faith.
"Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see." Hebrews 11:1
We believe that Jesus has died to pay for the sins of the whole world. His resurrection on the thrid day assures us of our free salvation.
"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast." Ephesians 2:8-9
We believe that the Bible is the true and inerrant word of God. God's Word is part of the Means of Grace that the Holy Spirit uses to bring people to faith.
"All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work." 2 Timothy 3:16-17
